We bring together patients, their families, and affected communities, to create a network of mutual support.
We provide practical and emotional support to patients and their loved ones, helping them navigate the healthcare system and access treatments.
A medical condition is considered rare if it affects fewer than 1 in 2,000 people . Recent studies estimate that there are over 10,000 different rare diseases .
Although each disease is rare individually, together they affect more than 5% of the population . Unfortunately, treatments are available for only about 5% of these diseases .

The MENA Organization for Rare Diseases was established in Dubai to advocate for and support rare disease efforts in the Middle East and North Africa. Our efforts are focused on three core pillars:

We bring people together—patients, families, and professionals—to share experiences and knowledge through social events, support groups, and collaborative networks.
We provide online support groups that connect patients and families with others facing similar conditions—fostering community, empathy, and shared understanding.
