A sincere welcome to the 3rd MENA Congress for Neurogenetic Disorders 2026!
The field of neurogenetics has witnessed vast changes in the last couple of decades. Thanks to the remarkable advancements in genomic testing, we are now able to diagnose more diseases than ever, to discover new entities and to gain astonishing insights into their molecular mechanisms. This betterment in understanding has enabled scientists and healthcare professionals to develop new life-changing therapies. Many of these currently available breathtaking genetic-based treatments, and those soon to come, have forever altered the natural history of several disorders known to mankind. On several occasions, neurogenetic disorders that in the past used to be life-limiting have now become conditions to live with for longer, or perhaps even potentially curable.
It is with great pleasure that we invite you all to this conference in its third edition building on the success of the previous rounds. Last year, the 2nd MENA Congress for Neurogenic Disorders 2025 which was held on 17th and 18th October 2025 in Dubai was very successful with 46 speakers, including 10 international experts, and more than 200 participants with more than 30% coming from other countries. More than 50 poster abstracts were submitted by young doctors and researchers and were chosen for their high scientific quality. Various topics related to neurogenetics were discussed with 95% of attendees giving an above-average feedback evaluation for the presentations.
The 3rd MENA Congress for Neurogenetic Disorders 2026 will take place on 2nd and 3rd October 2026 and will include experts, researchers, clinicians, and professionals from across the region and beyond gathering here in Dubai to exchange knowledge, discuss advancements, and collaborate in the field of genetically determined neurological disorders manifesting across the life span.
It is our vision that this conference serves as a platform whereby clinical experiences are shared, basics but also emerging trends are tapped into whilst we collaborate towards better outcomes for our patients.
Through exchanging knowledge, sharing expertise and exploring new horizons, we, in the scientific and organizing committees, hope to bring arrays of hope to those patients, and their families, affected by neurogenetic disorders in our region and beyond.
